  • Method: A soft chemical wash followed by a controlled, low-pressure (400 psi) rinse.
  • Validation: We provided a no-charge demonstration, complete with compelling before-and-after photos, proving our method’s safety and effectiveness in restoring the structure’s appearance without compromising its integrity.

The initial cleaning in May 2008 was a success, revitalizing the facility’s look.

  • Hurricane Ike’s Impact (September – November 2008):
    • Challenge: Following Hurricane Ike, the dome was deflated as a protective measure. Upon re-inflation, the exterior was again soiled, and tiny rubber granules from the synthetic turf had adhered to the interior ceiling where contact occurred.
    • SRWS Solution:
      • The exterior was efficiently re-cleaned using our proven soft wash technique.
      • The interior ceiling required a delicate approach: our team meticulously swept the granules from the substrate using brooms, necessitating the use of a 125’ boom lift inside the facility.
  • Addressing Interior Air Quality & Aesthetics (Summer 2014):
    • Challenge: The pressurized environment within the training facility had caused rubber granules from the turf to become aerosolized, leading to a greasy-black soot buildup on the lower interior walls, extending up to 30 feet.
    • SRWS Solution:
      • The affected walls were effectively cleaned using a specialized degreaser and a low-pressure rinse.
      • Critically, as the facility lacked internal drains, our team utilized wet/dry vacuums for meticulous removal of all rinse water, ensuring a clean and dry finish.
